UMA Tool is professional automotive software. By downloading, activating or using it, you accept the terms below.
Professional, authorized use only
UMA Tool is intended solely for qualified automotive professionals — workshops, auto locksmiths and ECU-repair specialists — working on vehicles they own or are authorized to service. You are responsible for holding the legal right to work on each vehicle and for complying with every law that applies to you.
No warranty
The software and all files it generates are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that any function, calculation or file will be error-free or suitable for your specific vehicle, module or control unit.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, UMA Tool (bit-fix.net), its operator and contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss — including damage to control units, modules, vehicles, data or lost work — arising from the use of, or inability to use, the software or its output.
Always keep a full backup of the original read before writing anything back. Writing modified data to a control unit is done entirely at your own risk. Verifying and, where required, correcting the checksum of a flash file before programming is the responsibility of the person programming the unit.
Emissions & tuning functions
Functions that modify or disable emission-control systems (for example DPF/FAP, EGR, SCR/AdBlue or lambda) are provided for motorsport, off-road, bench-testing, research or export use only. Removing or disabling emission-control equipment on a vehicle used on public roads is illegal in the EU and in many other countries. You alone are responsible for how these functions are used and for any legal consequences.
Mileage functions
Mileage functions are only for repairing or replacing a cluster or module with the vehicle's true mileage. Changing a mileage to mislead anyone is illegal.
Your responsibility
- Confirm you are authorized to work on the vehicle or module.
- Keep a backup of every original file before making changes.
- Comply with all laws and regulations that apply to you and your customers.
- Use emissions and tuning functions only where they are legally permitted.
